I always tell buyers to add paypal fees if they choose to pay with that method. No one has had a problem yet.

When i send the money I click the personal tab under where you enter the money amount and click send as a gift. And I noticed it didnt charge 3% when sent that way... Could have been just lucky or something..

It ALWAYS takes money when I receive, not when I send. I usually give people a break when they want to pay with something other than paypal. If I want X amount of dollars and they want to do paypal, then they will pay the fees. You don't realize it but when you pay with your credit card at the store, their prices are already figured with you paying with a CC to cover their butts. Some stores in MN here will give you a 5% discount if you pay cash.

Just learned this with the whole pt.net calendar deal i did with the the TOTM's. If you choose "personal" on the tranasaction the receiver doesn't get charged. The only down fall to this is you have no support if there is an issue with a product.

Paypal's website says there is no fee if you choose "personal transaction" AND "if the money comes from PayPal balance or bank account."

Paypal's website says there is a fee if you choose "personal transaction" and the money comes from a debit or credit card or PayPal Credit (the sender decides who pays this fee).
