Pay Pal fees?
#23
same here too....
I usually only ask for fees to be added if the sale is $500 or more. Since I am not a shipping business owner or vendor, just a normal blue collar guy, I charge actual shipping and always wind up eating the money I spend on shipping materials, and/or the trouble to find a container of the right size. Not to mention my time and gas to get the item(s) to my local Fedex...a 15 mile trip one way.
Chances are already high that I'm selling whatever it is at a discounted price.
Why should I have to pay a fee so that it's more convenient for the buyer?
The buyer either pays for the convenience, or keeps looking.
If someone doesn't want to pay the Paypal fees, they can go elsewhere....
I've paid when asked to do so, but I've surely never cried about it.

Meh, I say figure paypal fees into the price of the item for sale, asking for an extra 3% is cheesy IMO. I haven't sold much, but most of what I have sold has been paypal (since most of us don't accept credit cards, and I'm not so sure how easy it is to trace a money order), and I just figure the 3% to be part of the transaction, just like cardboard, bubble wrap, etc...maybe that's why I'm no rich man lol
I'll say this, if I find something I want and the seller wants an extra 3%, I'll pay it with no problem to get the goods or services that I'm looking for.

I sold something for a friend and the guy the bought it paid me $25,000 to my paypal account. It was the first transaction I made after the implemented the fee. The fees were pretty incredible, $7,500. I sent a refund back for the full amount and the guy flew in the California and brought us certified checks from his bank.
It was a completely business if you are wondering. My friend started a pavement resealing business for his teenage boys, when they moved to college he sold off everything, truck, trailer, all the necessary tools, and a parking lot stripper. The guy flew in, jumped in the truck, and drove to California.

Yeah, that's what I get for doing math after just waking up. Mis-type, still, in the over all scheme of things, I wouldn't have made any commission for selling it.
