Ok, WTF...stealership is really living up to its name now. Broke a stud off in the exhaust manifold, so I called the dealership to get a new one. They are $17, stud alone! Called over to oriellys auto parts, 6 studs and nuts in a kit for $14. Thats just outrageous.
Storytime...has anybody else been quoted a price for a part that that was so expensive it made you grab your gut and laugh?

Yep. I broke a throttle body bolt on my camaro. I was at the dealership for some other reason, so I stoped buy to see if they had one. I don't remember the price, except that it was outrageous just for a single bolt.

Trim parts are always alot of $. I can go on. OEM wheels are always $$$ too.

It also pisses me off they u can just get 1, 3, or 5 of say fasteners. U gotta buy a qty of say 5-25, of which u might only need say 1 or 5 at most. Cha ching. Then the unused fasteners just sit in my toolbox.

I think I paid $35 for a little bag of injector o-rings from the local chevy Dealer. Only needed one but I had to buy four. With the price of cars and parts and dealerships I don't know how they afford to stay in business.

$52 a piece for LS7 lifters. $12 a piece for 4.8 lifters. Same part number. Just called the 'Vette tax. (Sometime in 2010 LS7's became standard replacement across the LS board.)
My truck used to get all factory replacement parts, when I worked at a GM dealer. Now it's just ******* outrageous.

Yeah, parts prices have really gotten out of hand...you guys have to see some of the prices of parts that I replace under warranty at Lexus. Seems like there isn't anything that's less than $1200

I would hope that $380 is a mistake, but sadly it probably isn't.
