Default Mole hunting

I am so stoked over something so silly. I've lived in a new home for a little over 3 years now and since the first summer I've been hunting moles. Damn little critters are messin up my yard.

The past couple years I've been using poisons and stuff. This year I got one of the stabbing trap thingies. Just stabbed one.... damn little yard molester!

Anybody care to share tricks for their mole wars. I won't rest till they are all gone from my little one acre.

for us it's armadillos. They smell like crap and they dig tons of small holes in the yard. The crazy thing is that they jump super high when they get scared(up to 3 feet) and that's what happens half the time you run over one.....they'll jump into your undercarriage and f' a ton of stuff up.

EDIT-We just use the regular animal traps with cat food. Now that we got rid of the armadillo though we catch stuff for fun: big *** racoons, neighbors cats, a few squirrels

Hey I AM from Kentucky! There is no denying my heritage.

Yeah you might be a redneck if you enjoy mole hunting and post up your results in an open forum.

No danger in a mole messing up your ride. All underground espionage with them.

The one I stabbed today was the first I've ever seen up close. Very odd little critters. Rat like teeth and some serious little digging claws. Wish I'd taken a picture before I tossed it over the fence.

My grandpa always used those "stabbing" traps like you are using, and he would punch a hole into their borrows and drop some kind of poison down there. Sorry I cant be of more help I was like 8 when he was still around killing them.

I get them around my house too, if I tap my foot on the porch it seems to push them out of there hole???? Then I just smash them with a shovel.. Want to use the 12 guage but the neighbors might not like that... They keep trying to dig around our back porch and it pisses me off. You can also cut them in half with the shovel, they screech real loud that way though.

Muwhahaha. Took one out today, checking the trap, I see the ground move, few quick jabs with a garden trowel and its over for it.
