I had the same problem. Thier main food source are grubs. Use a poison that gets rid of the grubs and that will get rid of the moles. IMO.

 

I've heard that and others.

Kill the grubs. Which I have a lot of and have treated the yard for them.
Juicy Fruit chewing gum... put it in the hole they eat and it kills them
The trap I have
Some kind of sonic gizmo that drives them away
Poison

 

if youre not inside city limits just use a .22 IMO, a bit more fun anyways

 

I like the shotgun idea, hell thats what i use

 

I'm not in the city limits but on a major highway. I can see it now. The sheriff showing up from reports of passerbyes of a man in the yard with a shotgun. Ummm officer, I was hunting moles.

 

hell i was in the backyard in slippers and a robe with Gen 3 Night vision goggles and an 8 gauge riot shotgun and the neighbors found it "suspicious" cause i was walking around staring at the ground and firing "arbitrary" shots.

But i live in a large neighborhood in the middle of houston.

I shot one with my .45 not too long ago, I had it on me so I figured what the hell. I still want to use the shotgun but, I want to get rid of them to get rid of the holes so a shotgun isnt really going to help much. Hmm chewing gum ehhh.... Off to the junk drawer I go..............

Smoke bombs and a board... place smoke bomb in hole and cover with board or brick..

Or just get teh water hose and put it in the hole and sit back...

We killed a Armadillo at my buddys house like that.... Silly thing went in a hole by their carport... so we just got the water hose and stuck down in the hole and turned the water on kindof low... Sat back with a .22 pistol and waited him out...
