Default Modding Truck =Broke.

I don't really know what to think about this, but I am broker than I have been for years. The payment for my new 5.3 just went thru. Now I am broke as a joke. I don't even have the money to get a $5 hair cut and they are going to bitch like a ************ at work. At least I got the biggest single purchase out of the way. Hopfully I won't have to drop that much cash all at once until I do a trany swap. Since I am doing the labor myself and I am going to be using salvage parts for the rest of the swap parts. Except for ovious thing like belts and hoses. Man, I just hope that this is all going to be worth the money. Damnit, why didn't I just buy a truck with a V8 in the first place At least this is not as bad as the last time that I was this broke. Hell then I made 3X what I make, I just spent all of my money on other, well lets just say performance enhancing products . And it wasn't for my truck either. Oh well, that is my little rant.

Not to be a dick, but maybe you should get your priorities in line. Modding a perfectly good truck sometimes isn't in the cards if you're pinching pennies. Maybe you should put the truck on hold for a couple months, get some money in your pockets and go slow with the whole thing

Just whatever you do don't take out a loan for performance parts. I always laugh at people who take out a loan to buy a set of rims. That to me is rediculous.

Anyways good luck, and if you need a hair cut. I can drive over there and give you one like mine with a no guard all around

I'd have to agree with you on that. There are things I want for my truck like a supercharger but then I'd be broke for a while. I'm good I can wait a little while.

I am tryin to take it slow, I just wanted to get the bug purchas out of the way. Now I figure a little bit here and there I should be good. One piece at a time, I know in the long run that will cost more but I can't reall yaford to pay like $2,000 for everything all at once. And I would never get a loan to mod my truck. Between my truck and motorcycle I have enough loans.

Thanks for the haircut offer but I have a set of clippers I just really don't want to go that rout but I guess I have no choice.

Hell yeah! This is still better than spending my money on that other "performance enhancer"

I never buy anything unless I have the cash in hand to buy it and the cash to pay for anything that might break because of it. Just don't not enjoy the little things in life (movies, trips, etc.) just because you want your truck a little faster...

I can understand what you mean.....I used to spend every last dime I had on my 442 Cutlass that I owned. But then, I met my significant other, and have something else that I put time and money into.......my little 3 year old boy. Don't get me wrong, I still spend money on the SS, but it's only IF and WHEN I have it to spend. Then it's still a matter of if it is important enough to actually buy what I think I need at the time....Granted though, I did buy the SS as an investment for my little boy........ ..at least that's what I tell the wife now..........................
