Now it's not like I spend all of my money on my truck, just what is left over after bills. And this purchase really put it over the edge. I don't have to pay rent or buy food. So all of my money goes to my truck, beer and cigerattes.

And the breaking **** thing is a givin lol. For enstance my tranny. I only expect it to last till the first of the year. Or at least I hope it does, that is when I deploy and wont need the truck for 15 months. The when I get back hopfully I will have a T-56 waiting for install. At least I will have something to show for the money I spend.

Modifications on a vehicle aren't much to show for spent money since you don't hardly get anything back from them...

just shave your head bald, thats alot cheapier, thast what ive resorted to haha

with regard to being broke i know what yours aying there buddy. i dumped WAY to much money into my truck recently... i actually took out a loan for my LS1 but that was only cause i knew id have the money 2 weeks later because some kid put a down payment on one of my dirtbikes... so the loan was payed of in 2 weeks, i woulda waited but i thought it looks good getting a loan and paying it off right away so i figured id give it a shot lol. my modding has come to a screeching hault also as i have have charged a couple more parts than i wanted and i wanna get that **** payed off

with regard to the swap being worth it... i remember how slow my old 4.3 was as opposed to just my 4.8, trust me bud it will make a huge difference. good luck to ya wit getting the swap done and getting back on track

Whats worse than moddin a truck is,,,

4wheeler.... thats until you walk all over a bigger bike that has bigger tires and you go in to winch him out.... The guys hate it when i do that.... hehe.

Guns... Buy all this ammo only to go send it down range,,, buy more bullets, powder, primers.. and reload them just to go send them down range and start all over.... its fun!!

Then the girlfriend wants to go out to eat and a movie....... there goes even more money....

Thats why i love goin out of town working.... im just sittin in this hotel, lookin at this website and another got a few hundred dollars of bullets in my shopping cart........ should i? Or should i not??

v-6 to v-8 will be worth it,,,, especially that first time you hammer on it and that grinn appears....

Then you need to go with NItrous or FI.... hahaha

Sorry,,, i know im not any help...

Some of you guys said you would never take out a loan to buy performance parts, but I constantly see people who use credit cards. Even racking up bills into the 5 digit range. How is that any different than getting a loan with a shitty interest rate.

IMO, in the performance world: if you can't pay cash for it, you can't afford it.

Don't get me wrong, I still spend money on the SS, but it's only IF and WHEN I have it to spend. YEAH GETTING MARRIED SOON HERE... RENT IN CALIFORNIA IS RIDICULOUS... PLUS TRUCK PAYMENT.... INSURANCE, HEALTH INSURANCE, GAS, BILLS, GROCERIES... NOT VERY GOOD FOR MY TRUCK MODDING THOUGH.
