I reset it every tank, last week I went out of town and averaged 15.5. This is through 3/4 of a tank around town. I have awesome driving habits.... 2003 Silverado SS AWD stock excpet filter and cat back.

double check it when you fill up.
divide your total mileage driven by how man gallons you put back in it.
I drive like 90 and go WOT on almost every take off and still get 15-16mpg avg doing so.

HAHA.. no wonder.
Too bad your commute doesn't involve more driving and less idling.
Get a bicycle!!
Get an SD tune and lean your Idle way out. Maybe that'll help you use less gas while your sitting there waiting for traffic to move.
MIGHT get you to 15mpg !!!

How many miles on the truck? Have you changed the plugs and fuel filter?
My Silverado SS AWD with intake and exhaust does 13.5 MPG city and 16.5 MPG to 17 mpg on the highway.
You will never get as good of MPG with AWD as you do with 4X4 running in 2WD but yours seems really low.
