ya but youll find that they do that alot with NBS trucks. ex. 2007 truck of the year was the silverado wasnt it? i know when they put out the Titan it was the Titan and same with the new F150. im not knocking the Tundra but i wouldnt do it cause of that.
in all honesty Dan if he is set with buying a Tundra there is probably nothing you can do... unless you can get him $4k off a Chebby lol. has he test drove a GM?

yeah he's drove my truck a couple times and he's drove a couple crew cab, which is what he wants...i don't know what his deal is...he prolly seen truck of the year and thinks thats what he needs. another thing there are hardly any toyota dealerships around here. The nearest one is over an hour away. So if he needs warranty work or anything like that he's gotta run all over the place for it

see i think thats kinda what he's thinkin...i got beat by a rcsb tundra(by like a fender) before my cam and he hasn't let me live it down since. I think he's wanting something that will beat me...i dunno, that's prolly giving him too much credit for thinking actually

If your really looking for a reason to give him not to buy it you could inform him of the limited aftermarket there is for the tundra. I think the TRD supercharger came out for it but that's it I believe.
But I'd say let him buy it and live with it. you live in the heartland so he's gonna have to deal with getting alot of ribbing from his friends and family for driving an import.
