My bad, I would go with the lower end quad if its a media center. It will help with burning and encoding DVD's.

I also would move two the two hard drives in raid, but it is a little more work but sick!

Also bang for your buck 2 4850 are the best deal out there! Mine are scaling very well!

i would go with a e8400 @ 3.0 on the cpu,
i have the e8200 and that fsb @ 1333 is nice when that second core wakes up and go's to work.
get a dvi to hdmi cable, toms hardware was testing a 9600gt on a large flat screen
at 1080p playing games, the stated it was FANTASTIC and everyone drooled all over it.
i have been reading up on it and thought about replacing my 19 inch monitor with my 32 inch flat screen.
the only problem ever stated was about reading text, everything else such as games and video, web pages was fantastic

I have a 9600gt and recently went to 4850 much better all around! Also 9600gt had a bad batch with bad cores avoid or buy a good warranty...

Well the 9600gt was a great buy a year ago for a $100. Just isn't worth it anymore since ATI released the 4000 series. The only real good thing it has going for it is the lower power draw. Thats the reason I bought one in the hope of not buying a new Power Supply but had to anyways...

Gts are a lot better than gt cards too!
