Default Got a new beater tonight

I finally got rid of the "beater". It was my wifes work car when she was a marketing rep. She has now been a personal trainer for 6-7 months and I dont want to drive the car so it sits. Its a 2003 impala. I knew we were upside down on it, but had no idea how much .
We got the car new in 03 and the sticker was 29K. We got it for 23 or so.. maybe less. The blue book on the car was under 9K!!!
Anyways I got an 06 Infiniti G35 sport package with 18's fully loaded bluetooth, everything! . I got it for 2K under invoice (not sure how that happens, but thats what it was according to their invoice sheets) I also got 1500 or 2K over Kelly Blue book for the car . I dont know how that is possible, but Im pretty happy. Wait, how is that possible? The thing moves!! They are rated at 280hp and 270tq.
The truck is coming apart next weekend since I no longer need it to get to and from work. I may take a little longer and go a little crazier since I now have some options for transportation

wow a G35, quite a beater you got there.

That's increadible that those impalas depreciate so fast, it's only 2 years old!!!

Hell ya!! Next time we can go to lunch in style!! I'll probably have to wash dishes to pay the bill though Hell you and I can ride in your truck and the girls can tool around in the car!
I am very excited at the idea of being able to have the truck down for a while and actually do the build that I wanted to!

Tell me about it. It makes sense though. The employee pricing went on for so long and the financing options they are doing makes it cheaper to buy them new than to buy used since the finance charges are so much less. I dont see another GM product in my future for quite some time unless I can pay cash and plan on keeping it for a LONG time.

Very cool. I worked for Nissan for a while and it sounds like you got it near the employee purchase price. good work.
