I know those Onan generators are tough as nails. Had one at our camp and ran the dog **** out of it usually overloaded and it never complained, just hunkered down and took the load and kept on buzzing along.

A welding machine service shop would be able to clean up the generator side of it no problem. (That's where I take my portable now) and those engines are simple to work on.

I have a PTO driven unit for my tractor now, best purchase I believe I have ever made.

Also, I know a lot of people who want a PTO and already have a gas portable.... All you need is hydraulic remotes off your tractor. I have mounted a hydraulic motor on a friends and he sets it in the bucket of his tractor and runs it off two hoses. He also added a fluid cooler to his system for long sustained use. You just have to figure out what RPM it needs to maintain, the rest is easy.
