Default Back to work I go!!!

Finally! I feel like I've been home 10 years...I watched summer turn into fall and now it's pretty much winter. Just an update for those who don't know; I had surgery on my right shoulder and elbow Sep. 2nd, and I've been home getting fat ever since. Don't get me wrong, I've had alot of fun hangin out here for the past 3+ months, but that's pretty much all that I've done...time to become a productive member of society again

Still not totally healed, but I'm good enough to get back in the swing with some light duty...doc says I'll be allright as long as I don't overdo it, and my boss seems very understanding and welcome's me back.

So Monday morning, gettin up early, and back in to work by 7:00...(yikes!)

I can only imagine how that must feel. It sucks going back to work for me too in late August after 11 weeks of being off and doing nothing.

I work for a Lexus dealership...I was a Toyota master tech for over 12 years, then due to multiple injuries (shoulder, elbow, and back), I had to scale it back a bit...unfortunately surgery became inevitable. I run our Roadside Assistance program...besides going on emergency calls (batteries, tires, etc.), I set up a route and do repairs at our customer's houses by appointment...mostly special order parts we ordered for them that were not in stock when they were in for their last service. I also perform the foreman's duties when he's on vacation, and serve as a spare service writer when we're short-handed. I also get called on for diagnosis when certain vehicles become problematic or get close to lemon law. For the next month or so (until I can go back to full duty) I'll be helping the foreman with dispatch, diagnosis, and quality control...and whatever else they need me to do that doesn't tweak my rt arm too much.

Gotta pay some doctor bills so I can concentrate on buying LQ9 parts

Thanks for all of the well wishes everybody!

I know how that feels. Asshat at work dropped a ******* pallet rack on my mellon and fucked my neck.

Got back to work and they decided to play a game of **** the intern. they docked me for 8 days of work that i was out ANDthe time I spent in the doctors office (4 hours).
******* jackasses.
I bet it wouldn't have been so bad if my asshat boss (man, asshat cant even begin to describe this guy. I've never heard a design release engineer say "I dont know what you're talking about. I was never good with math and stuff. I just like computer games" after I question their new method) didn't send me on site and make me work 270+ hours in 3 weeks- including 20 hours on my 21st birthday.

I couldn't have been any happier when I got laid off. I almost re-fucked my neck when I hit the ceiling. I hated that job so much I used to sleep on the couch so I wouldn't pass by the kitchen in the morning I was so afraid Id kill myself rather than go to work one day.

Ohh well. I start working on Jet Turbines next semester
I'm pretty sure my old boss doesn't have a job right now.

edit: sorry for the rant. as you can tell, i'm not over it yet. Cost me a season of riding (sport bikes)

Congrats Billy, I know how bad you've been wanting to get back into the swing of things. Now just don't go ***** to the wall until you're 100%.
