Default Wrecked my TBSS

Thats right after just 5 weeks of owning it since replacing the truck that was stolen 5 weeks ago a guy in ranger decides to pull out in front of me going 45-50mph on a 6 lane divided rd to turn accross the median and go the other way, needless to say I could do nothing to avoid it and hit him just behind the driver rear wheel. He filpped and rolled 1 1/2 times and landed in the median on the sign that said "keep off median"!

He got the citation for failure to maintain safe lookout and the ambulance ride, I got some nifty new racin skripes from the paint in his truck! Would you believe the airbags DID NOT deploy in the TBSS!!! Nor did ONSTAR call to see if I was ok! Somebody got some splainin to do!!

That sucks *****. Glad you're ok. That's really weird that the airbags didn't deploy, I would ask someone about that. I hope mine deploy if I ever need them.

I'm very sore! With that impact not be injured is a testament to the safety of GM vehicles.

As for the airbags, I'm a GM tech and all the rest of the tech's at work can't believe it as well!! We will find out why and If needed I will persue legal action.

you should, thats not right, that was a dead nuts front impact, they should've gone off. However, very glad you are alright, vehicles can be replaced, as much as we would like to NOT replace them and have an auto we can actually love and keep.

You're lucky you didn't come out worse then you did. I'm glad you're ok though, as that looks like a brutal hit. Kinda strange how that airbag didn't go off though...hmm

Have to see if it gonna be a total or not and go from there, I did get gap when I bought it and have yet to even make the first payment, due the 24th.

I think I'd have a hard time with airbag issue being as I wasnt injured and it might even be a good thing they didn't deploy.

If totaled I will buy another! And if not to pricey maintain salvage on this one! HMMM LS2/4l70/14 bolt 99 GMC???

Sorry to hear about the TBSS, that blows. About the air bags I question GM because in my 02 avalanche i nailed something head on at about 40 and no air bags. Yet in my Mitsubishi i hit something at 15 and they went off.
