carbon fiber cold air intake system
#1
ok so i got frisky last night and pulled the intake off my truck and got some foam blocks and started fitting them for a cold air intake system. i called a company that it willing to mass produce them but they said it would be about 3 grand in developmental cost and tooling. anways i havent got the drivers side done yet but with the way im designing it you would use the brake ducting for ram air. also it will keep the brake cooling functional. however you will only have about half as much cooling volume to the brakes. anyways i aint gonna go ahead with it if im only gonna be makeing one for myself but if enough people are interested we can get the ball rollin. im assuming that it will fit the ss trucks as well but i havnt seen under the hood so i dont know what the differences are. this will also be offered in a shorter assembly if someone decides to change over to l92 heads and l76 intake and change the water pump bracket.
if your interested please vote on the poll. for the first question please keep in mind that it is a custom twin tube ram air system and it will be made out of carbon fiber...and we all know it isnt cheap. so please select the max you would pay. and please be realistic bacuase this is about all the "market reasearch" i can afford lol thanks
