LOL this is awesome. so ur telling me that the same motor built twice exactly alike is going to be off by 45HP??? wow, maybe it has to do with drivetrain loss but thats amazing how u think 1 LS2 and another LS2 are different from the factory. the more likely scenario would be the intake and exhaust differences resulting in a slight 5HP difference... which btw is how almost every single thing ive ever read explains the 400 vs 395 hp differences. get a tune and start asking questions to ur tuner they can help u at least get started and id also recommend reading a few diff books. my fave is this one.

Are you sure? I always thought an ls1 and an ls2 were the same engine.

ls1=camaro
ls2=trailblazer
ls3=SSR
ls4=silverado
ls5=Impala
LS6=CTS-V
LS7=corvette

The number just means what car it goes in.

The LS4 is an Impala motor, the LS5 is for Silverados dumbass.

the ls1 cam out in 97 in the vete and ran till 2004
the ls1 also came out in the f-body from 1998 till 2002.
the ls1 came in the 2004 gto.
the ls6(which was the next LS model out) cam out in the vet Z06 in 2002 thought 2004
the ls6 also came out in the cts-v 2004 and 2005.
the ssr 2004 model(if this is the first year) aslo had the ls6
the ls2 came out in the vet and gto in 2005 and ran till 07 vet and 06 gto
the ssr got this also after the first year.
the cts-v got the ls2 in 06 and 07
the trail blazzer got ls2for all of it's years so far.
the ls3 came out in 2008 in the vet. it is alot like the l92 but different cam and intake.
the ls4 came out in all front wheel drive gm cars with the v8 (besides caddy) like grand prix. impala. monte carlo.
there is NO ls5
ls7 came out in 2006 in the vet z06 model and is still used.
the ls9 came out in the 2009 Zr1 vet.
the LSA came out in the 2009 cts-v

now back on track
