need some help here new g2 ring and pinion
#1
so last night me and my friend did my rear end, and before anyone says he does not know what hes doing id like to say hes probably done more than 50 diffs in his life...we did all new bearings that were included with my installation kit, i went with G2 performance gearset...heres the thing, last night when i left there was NO noise whatsoever, now i have a noise, its not on decel but its when your VERY light on the throttle and in it a little bit, you can hear it whine, my backlash is set at the factorys .8-.12 range, it was right at .8, the pattern that was worn on the gears with the marking compound was ideal...i just have no idea what the noise can be? has anyone used the g2 gearsets? and if so are they noisy? it just doesnt make sense why last night it didnt make any noises and now it is? i mean i havnt given it more than mabey 1/2throttle at most, i was told wait 200 miles at least before actually getting into it. hopefully someone can help me out
thanks

i drove 30min let it cool 2hrs and repeated once, kept it under 65.also i contacted 4wp and rear reviews online..i guess since i bought the performance gearset instead of the OEM their typically noisy gearsets...idk if that true or not, i know for a fact backlash and pinion dept are correct and same with the footprints on the gears...i just hope my trans isnt hurting my rear end...anything more than 1/4 barks 2nd gear...prob not good on a new diff

forgot all about this thread...but the noise is still there and pretty loud, i talked to genuine gear and they said the OE's style gear sets are quiet opposed to the performance gearsets? does this sound legit or sound like theyre full of ****?
