leaf spring shackle flip?
#1
Have an 01 2500 non hd. 2wd with a 6 inch lift. 4 inch blocks in the rear. Was talking to a buddy the other day who does minor fab work etc about how I didn't want the blocks anymore and he suggested the shackle flip. I was looking for insight or maybe someone who has done this so I will know what to expect (him and I are doing it this weekend). Not sure what all I need to complete the process (new shackles, u bolts, spring etc). Appreciate everyones help and advice.

Flipping the shackle will lower the rear of the truck...You would have to run super long shackles to gain lift...
I cant think of any flip/lift kits out there..Maybe somebody else has seen one..

I'm not sure. He's built several jeep and vw buggy tube frames and suspensions.. I guess "minor" fab work didn't justify what he's done but... That was what he said.. Or reverse the springs or something. I will talk to him more and let you know what he says.

I have done front shackle reversal and it gains about 2 1/5" or so height wise. It doesn't ride as good. Reversing the springs them self will either lengthen or shorten your wheel base. If it was me I would get some lift springs.
