Default How many cranks per inch?

Hey, I'm looking to level the front of my 2002 2500HD with the rear...the rear is at stock height and I don't really want it any higher, it's up there enough for me, I just don't like the raked stance with the front lower. I haven't measured how far it needs to go, but if anyone knows how many cranks get you an inch I can figure it out from there...if not I'll just guess and check as soon as the weather warms up a bit (next weekend I hope). If it matters, it's a standard cab long bed 6.0 liter/4L80E truck.

Reason I ask is a friend of mine recently cranked them on his new H3 to level it out, and it still rides the same and looks a lot better, so I figured it's worth a shot on mine.

you should definately go for it but as far as cranks per inch i dont think there is any relative measurement between the two... my passenger side bolt is much further in than the drivers side bolt but the truck sits level.... just depends on the trucks i guess.

I have a GMC 1500. Mine was a 1/4" lower on the left from factory. I cranked it all the way and got 2 1/2". Rode the same, but definately had to have it aligned. The left toe was like 21 off and the right was 70 something off.

just take a tape measure and measure the frame on both sides to the ground and just start screwing in the bolts untill you are happy with the height and the front is level with the back and from side to side. It might take a couple of turns on one and a whole lot on the other.

If you got your bars cranked to the max can this cause **** to break a lot easier on your front suspension. I just maxed mine out and can tell it rides a little rougher but I can deal with that. Just dont know if its going to say, cause my bearings to go to **** faster or something more serious, anyone know?

iv heard it does and iv also heard ford keys wears stuff out but after 2.5 years and 40k miles later i havent had any problems at all. just rides like **** and i had to get new shocks but thats typical with a lot of miles. iv never heard of anybody having problems. i always leave the driver side 1/4" higher (driver, gas tank, battery, etc)
