Default 285/70R17 on a 1500 Silverado?

Has anyone put 285/70R17's on a 1500 Crew Cab Silverado? IF so, I was curious how many turn did you have to turn up the torsion bars and what were the results? Positive or negative?

It's been done 10 million times man. If it's on stock rims then you won't have to crank hardly at all. It all depends on what kind of rims your run.

Probably (at this point) going to run a Raceline Deepstar 6 w 4.5 backspacing, but I'm not a fan of having my wheels stick out from my fenders. I'd rather use my stock wheels.

Well again that doesn't give enough information man. How wide are the rims? 17x8, 17x10, 17x12. I'm all for helping, but you gotta give us all the facts.

Short answer though: You're probably going to have to run some ford keys in the front and trim a bit.

you would be amazed at the size of tires you can fit with stock rims, or rims that are the same size with the same back spaceing, theres a guy on gmfs running 37s with ford keys on stock rims no other type of lift barely any trimming. But yeah you should be able to fit 285's with a mild crank if any at all

Easiest way to forget about rubbing is to find OEM replacement 17" rims...or 18's, 20's, whatever suits you. GM makes some pretty snazzy rims that last forever. If you want a different color, the 5-spoke GM 17x8's look amazing powder coated black.
