Default 02 2wd leveling kit

Just curious if anyone has a 2" leveling kit on a 2wd 99-06 truck and if you have any pics of what it looks like.

what is the biggest tire size you can run with just the leveling kit?

and lastly would it be better just to do a 4" lift?

TIA...

the only way to do a leveling kit on a 2wd coil spring truck would be to add new springs or a coil spacer. both will ride like crap.

If I were you, I'd buy a 3" lift spindle and a 1" block. That would sit about perfectly level. You won't be able to clear any bigger tires than stock though.

It took me 4.5" and some trimming to clear my 33's

so would 5" clear 33's without trimming?

what do you think about a body lift, are they worth doin instead of suspension and saving some money?

I'd hold off on the body lift. They look good, but you'll spend $350 on a body lift with gap guards and you can get a 3" spindle lift for about $400.

In theory yes 5" will clear 33's without trimming. If you're using stock rims or a rim that isn't TOO agressive then you'll be fine.

My vote would be to run a procomp 7" kit,2" coil spacer and a 3" body lift.
Here's a pic of that setup on 37's:

i was JUST measuring this out last night to do to my red silverado

i measured my fender ride height and it was 33.5" if you click my sig and look at my old blue RCSB silvy before the pics wit the body lift which is curretly where it is sitting now that my old man drives it it still cleared 285/75/16s w/o trimming. now thats 4wd wit an add-a-leaf and the F150 torsion keys. so i figured my red truck needed to be that exact height as both of the trucks now have 245/75/16s

the fender height on the blue silverado is 39"... which in turn probably means you need about 5.5"-6" of lift to do 285/75/16s w/o trimming. so needless to say im not doing that lol

i take that back... CST says they make a 4" spindle that will clear 285/75/16s, dont know how that is but here check it out. i think i might be investing in these. as for the 2" blocks though you can go wit the 4wd lift blocks and ubolts... im sure theres tons of 4wd guys on here who would swap you your setup of 2wd ubolts for there 4wd ubolts and blocks so you dont have to buy CSTs lift blocks

anyone know of anyone running the 4" CST 2wd spindle lift??? im curious to see some pics

dang that looks good, but i was kinda hopin to do somethin cheaper, basically just want to lift it so i can fit 1 or 2 tire sizes bigger from stock.....im in college so i dont wipe my butt with 100's and i dont think i would be able to afford all that......

your best bet is to do a coil spring spacer then.. you can get them for like $80-$90 and youll probably get 2" outta it then youll have to buy new shocks... should put you at level height. this option WILL be rough

not sure if the spindles will be rough though, i never did them on anything

i know that way would be cheapest but i would like the least rough ride possible with a lift....

here is what i want: the truck to look more beefy with out compromising 1)ride quality much and 2)my wallet.......if i could do that i would be one happy guy
