They filed off this guys head casting #s, welded plates over the 4.8/5.3 stamps on front and back of block, but forgot about the casting number on top of the motor (12577396).

Don't know the name of the shop yet, but just letting you guys know to watch out for this kind of crap

 

I would be raising hell at that shady *** shop.

 

Wouldn't you know if you got a 4.8/5.3 vs a 6.0 simply by the way it drove? I mean seriously...

 

Well the fact that my heads had the casting number filed off and for some reason had plates welded over the casting in the block would be reason enough for me to tell them to take it back out.

 

damn that is messed up right there! I wonder what the shop is going to say when they know these boys have done their research?

 

that fu*kin sux, I wouldn't buy anything that has another stamp over or grounded off. But sometimes they make everything look so legit.....

that sux tho..I'd definately raise hell

that sux big time!!! any grinding marks or any type of welding should have raised a flag, but sometimes people get so excited in what there getting they dont pay attention to the details
