Default Engine shop - NW Dallas

Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop around Lewisville, or vicinity, that is reasonable and competent? The truck was running fine with good oil pressure. Stopped at the store to pick up some things and had no oil pressure when I restarted. Anyone got any recommendations? I'd greatly appreciate it.

what year truck? I had a similar issue, but it was my cluster.
Same issue that affects the speedo can affect the other gauges.

So when logging with a scan tool, it is still showing 0 oil pressure? Is it just at idle or at all RPMs?

Guage read 0psi. I checked the oil return from the STS scavenge pump in the parking lot. No oil return so I assumed no oil pressure. Local shop where I had it towed checked and said no oil pressure. I'm assuming they scanned it. Just looking for alternates because their estimate is $1400 to R&R the oil pump.

are you wanting someone to fix it for you or someone you can take just the engine to to be rebuilt?

Was looking for repair. I hope I don't need a rebuild. If you got either one, let me know becuase I'm always willing to share the wealth.

I did talk to the shop again and figured out why the price was so high. They were including an unnecessary water pump replacement
Got the price down to a reasonable number.

Find a new shop, quick. That price is RIDICULOUS!
