Default Calling all Houston area folks interested in a Black Bear tune!!!

Hey guys/gals,

Im a new member but i have been stalking for a while. I am a member of a tahoe/yukon forum and I have taken the responsibility of being an organizer for a Black Bear Tuning meet in Houston. Before I start posting details I just wanted to see if there was any interest on this forum.

Based upon the responses in this thread I will open up a new thread with ALL the details that will answer your questions. So what I am asking is to just post "interested" if you are. I have about 10 different forums that I am gathering interest from so you can imagine how confusing it can be.

MODS: I want to state that I am NOT an employee of Black Bear Tuning. I am only trying to get this meet going in my home town. Please do not erase my thread and let me know if I need to move it.

Thanks in advance!

not bashing black bear, im sure they do a great job tuning, but why not go with a home town tuner that you can get a hold of to retune in person when needed ??? just a question.

Because some of the hometown tuners aren't always as easy to get a hold of as you say they are. I would agree if it weren't for that. I'm pretty sure we both are talking about the same person too. Also, Justin doesn't lock tunes so you can adjust them if you end up buying EFI Live.

Great first post

Honestly I don't think anyone on this forum needs your help to get a tune from Justin. They already have a ton of threads in a different section concerning his tuning trips, and they are the only ones that should make those threads.

Not to mention you posted this is the complete wrong section to begin with.

i went to blackbears website, you need 10 people to put down 50 bucks, then pay rest when you get the tune done.

Thanks for your wonderfully insightful post....

Anyway, I have been in direct contact with Jenna of Black Bear. Like I said through a tahoe forum I have taken the responsibility of organizing this Black Bear Tune meet in Houston.

I guess all the fast responses means that there is actually interest?

I will make the "official" post where it needs to be.

And by the way, we have 6 signed up so 4 more and its a go!

soooo, lets say u made your living as a tuner, and u didnt lock your tunes. Some Joeblow can look at all of the tuning u have done, buy his own efi live/hp tuners, and charge people to use your tune. How hard is it to look at someone elses work and copy it to make a quick buck, not very. I have nowhere near the patience nor nowhow to tune, IF i could and make a living at it, i would want to protect my investment. this just my opinion, i know i have others that will agree. sure would suck if it rained that weekend though.......
