Default tach hookup 00 sierra 4.8

I just got a proform monster tach and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to hook it up on my 2000 sierra 4.8l.
Thanks jeff

Bulldog Securities Has A Great Wiring Diagram That I Followed On Their Site That Is Free To Access. It Lists The Color/location/function Of Each Wire You Will Need. Check It Out By Search Engine.

You Didnt Find The White Wire Behind Your Guage Cluster? Thats Odd, I Have Installed A Couple Since Mine - And They Were All There. It Should Be Behind The Guage Cluster On The Driver Side Of The Pin Connection. I Think Its The Second Wire From The Drivers Side On The Top Row - But Im Not Sure. Be Sure To Take Out All 4 Bolts And Look Behind The Cluster. There Are Other Posts That Are Along This Line That Have Better Details. Check Out The Older Stuff. Dont Forget That You Have To Run This Tach Like A 4 Cylinder Motor( Which Requires Cutting I Think Both Brown And Tan Wires On Your Tach - Again - Double Check The Wires To Cut.) Otherwise You Will Only Read Half Of True Rpms On Your Tach. Something To Do With The Coil Packs Doing Something Blah Blah Blah - But Its True.
