Default Battery dead again after all new stuff!!

Well I swapped to a 145amp alt and replaced my battery with a new one and I was gone for 1 week and the battery is completely dead again!! Im really sick of this ****! It could only be my meth kit or my EL fans, both of which are wired up completely correctly using Allens harness and the meth is pretty straight forward and wired to a key on source . What the F*CK keeps killing my battery!!!

You gotta check and see how much of a parasitic draw you have with the key off and the truck at rest...anything over 50 milliamps is too much. Somethings staying "on" and draining the battery. Hook the ammeter in series with the negative cable and see what kind of a draw you have. If it's excessive, start disabling different circuits until the draw drops down to an acceptable reading. (you can do this by pulling the fuse for each circuit, one at a time). If you pull a fuse and the draw dips down where it belongs, you found the ciruit with the problem.

If what budhayes says doesn't illuminate the problem, then I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the new battery is junk.

This is battery number 4.
Its weird, I havent had to jump it since the morning I got back from CA. The truck sat for 9 days. Either way, the battery shouldnt die that fast should it??
Where can I get what ever is needed to see how much it is drawing??

go to any sears and get a multimeater that reads miliamps... some only show amps. I would also check your ground. If it is not grounded properly it will not charge. What does your ground look like?

Was the original battery that you took out leaking? If so mine did that same crap because the battery acid ran down the battery causeing it to ground out and drain the battery every couple of days.

Hmmm... yeah sounds like something is draining it down over time.

Oh wait, I almost forgot.... Is your battery totally dead or does it just not seem to have enough power to start the truck? I had a bad starter relay once and it can cause this problem. It's in the box under the hood with the other relays. Just swap it out with one of the other relays and see if it will start.

the truck has started everytime since I got back and it was totally dead. It seems like the drain is just over a couple of days. It starts fine though. It put a 145amp alt in there and it seems to charge fine. The wiring is all factory as are the grounds.

Yeah if it's totally dead to the point of like no lights coming on or anything it would almost have to be something slowly draining down the battery. Just get a meter and do like they said above and you'll figure it out.
