Just bought a 95 Z71 with the 350 as a fixer upper. One of the problems is that the running lights dont work. Found the fuse blown, put another in and turned the lights on and right away blew the fuse. Headlights, cargo, brake, turn, and reverse lights all work just not the dash and running lights. Anyone deal with this before? I hate electrical problems, please help!!

 

if your fuse is blowing as soon as u turn them on then most likely u got a hot 12v wire that is touching the ground and needs to covered up. i would try and look at that wire and trace back to the switch starting from the bulbs

 

Yeah if you keep blowing the fuse you've got a short somewhere that needs to be found. Trace the wires from the DRLs and you might find it. Best of luck

 

having a similar problem, I though it was a fuse so I replaced the $12 fuse under the hood and checked the smaller one and still gettin nothing.
