i can use some tricks i learned hand making 2 sets of spark plug wires for my trans am. a little soap never hurt anything.

I used the ole coat hanger method with duct tape and pushed 4-guage through the DBW(Drive By Wire throttle)wires. I tried that bulk harness shown above and it felt like I was going to rip the boot(s); and I know that the DBW boot is alot smaller, but it gave me less resistance. DBW will only be on '03 and up, I believe. This worked out great because there is a channel set in the rubber underlayment pad that is about perfect for 4-guage that angles over to the door rocker panel where I finished running the wires to the back of the cab.

I've fit 1/0 through that stupid grommet...not too difficult...except I have fat hands!

I didn't use really big power wire though (can't remember what size actually, but definitely not like 0 guage or anything like that). If you're using some monster wire, you could drill a hole right around where that factory harness is, there's some blank space there...probably right beneath or next to the factory harness.

Here's mine...

I ran 4 Ga through there...

I just run them through existing grommets. If they dont fit, take a razor knife and cut the grommet a little and it will fit. Sililcone it back up if you have ocd.
