Default Plug and play wiring for nnbs Sierra?

I am thinking of upgrading my headunit and would like to just get one of those plug and play wiring harness' so I don't have to hack up the stock one. Are there any out there for the new body style trucks? I have a '07(new body style) GMC Sierra.

Thanks in advance.

yes they do have them, and depending on if you have bose and/or onstar, you're looking anywhere from $100-$150ish for one. Any local stereo shop, including best buy or circuit city should have them or be able to get them.

Sweet but, holy hell $100-150.

I am thinking about hardwiring it.

yeah, ***** expensive. I've heard that when the harness wasnt used the truck went all crazy, and this was from an installer I know. But I had planned on putting a radio in mine and was going to bypass the amp anyways so I had no need for the harness, I was going to hardwire like you said. I called metra and they said they didnt see any problem with running my own constant, accessory and ground. I never ended up putting a radio in so I dunno. Best thing to do is to take your factory radio out and drive around for a while and see if everything still works ok.

I know I have to get the adapter thing to keep the door chimes, onstar, and something else. Does the actual radio wiring harness matter I wonder, maybe I'll swing by best buy and talk to the installers there.

Thanks man.

to be honest, they're probably not going to have much of a definitive answer either. When they install a radio in these trucks, they HAVE to use that harness, they won't ever hardwire. So they really wont have any idea if it would be ok with out.

Like I said, best thing to do is to just take your radio out and drive around without and see what happens, if anything.
