yeah idk me personally i wouldn't go with that...even if it is a factory nav unit...look into kenwood...they have a nav unit that goes for like 1100 that's pretty friggin nice...it would save you a load of $$ in LOC's & not to mention i think with 3 LOC's youd end up runnin into interference problems...just my opinion though

DDX712 - no nav but great unit...lookin at like 900$
LOC's are about 40 each
either way you'll need the RCA's but you'll get a better quality in sound with an aftermarket head unit...
but if you want to keep you're stock head unit it CAN be done...i just don't recommend it...you're best bet is to shop around a little while...see what's out there...weigh your options...draw up a list of pros vs. cons...
as far as what i said about interference...if you ground out the RCA's you won't get interference...but at the end of the day IMO you'll be better off and you'll have less headaches if you delete the factory amp & go with an aftermarket 5 channel run your doors to the 4 channels & the sub to the last...simple & sweet

LOC's are only $20 each and the point of this entire post is to build a good sounding(which in his particular case means louder than the stock bose) system while RETAINING his factory nav. I am sure if he knew he was going to replace the radio the second he bought it he would have not got the factory nav.
Also, he could take that $900 he would spend on a new nav to replace the one he already has and buy a jl clean sweep(or rockford 3sixty), the door speakers, the amp( agree with running a 5 channel, perhaps an alpine pdx?), and the subs. It is much more cost effective in his situation to keep the factory nav and the clean sweep or 3sixty should eliminate most if not all interference a cheaper LOC would be prone to.

you may have to have a local shop build you a custom box if you cant find a company like probox that makes them. There may not be any prefab boxes out for 08's yet. I would imagine 8's would be fine for what you are looking for.

Has Bose changed the way they make their speakers? The older OEM Bose were .25ohm so you couldn't run a different amp than the factory one on them. There is a harness that allows you to use an aftermarket headunit with the speakers but I'm not sure about adding an aftermarket amp with the stock unit.
