mine can be flipped that way also..... they have a 2 inch lip on the outside edge to keep the sub from hitting the carpet/floor

its caled "medium" density fiberboard. use 3/4" preferrably nothing smaller. thats all i ever use. very strong and is used throughout the pro car audio industry. and if you want quality, this is the way to go. just dont get it wet otherwise it will swell like a stuck pig.

All you need to do is fiberglass the seams of any box that you build. That will basically make it sound about 10x better than not doing it. Use dynomat in the truck cab. If you use prefab, just fiberglass the inside.

Nice seat cover, where did you get them and how much? also, when you built the box, was it hard to figure out how much air space you needed in the box, i have 2 12" kicker comps and they fire to the back of the front seats, and everbody kickes them when they get in the back seat of the truck.

Building you own box is pretty easy. 3/4 MDF, bought at local hardware store, screws and some general caulking for the edges and cracks. The more sealed of a box the better it will sound. Any custom box will sound better than a pre fabbed box...hands down. If anyone has any questions on building any type of box ask me, I have built many boxes from MDF to custom fiberglass.
