Exclamation installed HID kit. check engine light came ON

ok well a while back ago i installed an HID kit they worked good when the truck wasnt off, but when i turned the the truck on the RPM would drop and even cause the engine light ON. idrove the truck for a few hrs like this once i i stoped @ a stop sign the truck died. i start it back on and shot home removed the kit and problems were solved, i really want HID kit without the hassle any ideas what caused the problem and how to fix it?

Never seen that before, and I've been selling HIDs for almost 3 years. A relay kit fixes common problems the actual HID kit usually has, like one light going out. I don't think a relay kit would offer any help to your situation. I would say return the kit, but it is probably to late for that.

if the light went out and bulb was still good the ballast was bad, couldve been a bad ballast that had a short, no clue really. ive had my hid's since oct, one ballast went out, replaced it, and theyve been working great every since. alot of people are buying the ddm kits and say to have good luck with them, im not sure, theyre kinda cheap in my opinion but they may sell enough to be able to sell them that cheap, anyways theyre cheap enough to give it one more wirl in my opinion

who installed your lights? only reason i ask is, i had a guy come in complaining about everything dying in his car (head lights, rpm ect) when he turned his radio up. turned out his kid tapped into the pcm power when he installed the amplifier. sounds like the same situation. was this a hack job? have you un installed the lights, and gone back to oem? still run like ****?

HIDs, relay kits, capacitors, SHOULD be 100% plug n play. I don't understand why people splice into **** and complicate things

happened to my Yukon, took them and threw it in the trash. Then relaized, the 'shock' on the system when it indicated the issues when they first fire puts truck into limp mode.

I installed two AR-02's almost 2.5 years ago, no issues, or mis-fires since.
