Default Got the Fi's goin'

Started a new thread for this because I was sick of hijacking the amp thread. Got the 12" Fi SSD's going today. Ported at 33 hz. Hella loud. Louder then anything I've ever heard before.

Am going to have to up my front stage to keep up with them, because I am not turning them down.

I need to deaden my truck now. I was driving home, had the subs at a decent level and my dad heard them from about 50 feet away.

I've always hated people that bump their subs loud as possible so other people can hear them...I'm like one of them but I don't want to be!

I haven't had time to play around with the amp settings yet (hifonics 1606). Got the basic gain set, going to work on the phase and SSF tomorrow.

Rattles the **** out of my truck as well. This is bad ***.

I like it very much, and I played a few different tracks and the response was good, gets a little muddy down low but I expected it w/ the ported.

Highly recommend these subs ported(can't tell you anything about sealed)

i have the same problem. i have a Digital Designs 9515 and in my extended cab i separated the roof skin from the braces. i deadened it but i dont know what kinda difference it will make.

put the phase at 0 degrees. all that is for is if you have your subs inverted and then you change the phase 180 so it is pumping into the box. also set you sub-sonic filter at like 20hz or higher. geting down to low and you loose cone control at high volumes. so crank it up and see what works for you. also turn you sub all the way up on your deck and then set your gain. that way you dont clip your speakers out later on from turning it up too high.

Only 50 feet?

Sounds like a great setup!

50 feet was before I set everything. Got the SSF set up. I modelled my box inwinISD and I used the rolloff freq. and set the cutoff to that. didn't touch the phase, it's all right for now.

I move my mirror, rattle the sheet metal and I get a nice back massage

only available through www.ficaraudio.com

Yea, in a Single Cab, 50 feet is decent... What I love about Fi's is that they are made top notch and are all go... No Fancy Magnet Covers or dust caps...

How are you liking the Hifonics? Im thinking of Switching to a BTi 2006D

It's nice. Good budget amp, I don't know if it puts out it's rated power but it still pushes the subs pretty well.
