Default Extended cab speakers in the back

what size are the stock speakers in the back of a Ext cab in 00 Silverado? They look like 4x6?

You can make a spacer ring and install 5.25" as long as they are not super deep. Just be careful when cutting out the metal to accpet the bigger speaker. I puched to hard with a hacksaw and reverse dented my door.

I would recommend 5.25" as well. They sound a lot louder than 4x6's I had before. There is also a lot more options available in a 5.25" speaker.

dremel=god i got 6X9's in my rear door's. i left the factory in there, and trimmed out the hole on below the factory speaker. i donno if it's any better or not due to there being no grill there but n e way it worked.

Im not a rear fill guy, so I just got a good set of components and a good amp and let it be.. I dont even have in speakers in the back of my truck..

I'm with you on this one....save the dough and get decent 4x6's for sake of your rear passengers, but those front speakers is where the real cheddar should be spent.

Well I order some Infinity Kappa off e-bay, but I'm thinking of canceling for some MB QUARTS my buddy has some in his Suburban wow they sound damn nice!
