While MBquart components are awesome, IMO the best 4x6 out there are the infinity kappas.. You will not be disapointed.. Also if you didnt know MBquart just got bought by Maxxsonics, the same company that owns Crunch...

I put 6.5" components in the rear doors. Took about an hour with a drememl tool. What ya'll fail to realize is that rear filler sound is important too. Without the rear channels you lose the 2 channels that the sound on the cd is recorded in. Also it can leave the sound sounding "empty". I will be installing a second set of 6.5" components in my front doors and fiberglassing the four tweeters into the a-pilar with a 4 channel amp and a single two channel for the rears so I will retain all the channels and all teh adjustability but then again I am a bit of an audiophile. Just picked up a JL Audio 12W7 to play with

My hearing must suck then, because every system Ive ever heard with a good set of components and good amp, i could not hear the rear speakers.. My friend argued with me that he could hear his rear speakers in his system, so one day I set his fade all the way to the front and he rode around like that for 2 weeks before I told him.. To each and their own though, I just feel that it is a waiste of money..

Its not necessarily jsut the sound that the speakers in that position produce its the channels that they replicate IE the rear channels of sound. Music is recorded for the most part in 4 channels. left right front and left right rear. Thus the need for a 4 channel amp for the 4 speakers to keep your channel adjustability. I can tell when teh rear speeakers are off in the rear cause my damn rear power wires got cut by the alarm installer
and I realized it right away when I cranked it up. In my S-10 the front POS 4x6 dash speakers even though they are small you could still tell when they were off or distorting. 4x6s are pieces of **** I would rather have no speakers than have them
