Ext cab subs and box
#31
this box only has two 12" Cvr's Dcv 2ohm wired 1ohm to a mono 1000w cheap amp. i wanted to do the 15 but there was no way i could fork out 460 for the sub and 700 for the amp. i bought these new for 360 and i bought the box off a buddy for 80. looks kinda ghetto had to seal the port. it hits pertty good i would like to get it made right with a ported box but its fine as is now
Ghetto made seat lift

I need a better altanator i cant bump at stop lights or else the system will clip due to low voltage

ill try and take a better vid later just a sample nothing special

Here are some pics of the box I built for my x-cab. Right now it has (2) Kicker Comp 12's. I really built it for (2) Sundown 12's to be installed at a later date. Hits really hard inside the truck, but does not carry too far. I did raise the seat a 1/2" by putting some 3/4" nuts under the rails.

That airspace in the first pic HAS to be choking those CVR's, and if you're paying $700 for an amp to power that mystery 15", then you're getting ripped a new one. Had to be an audio shop, and their hyper-inflated prices. Worked at one for a good while, I know how they rip people. Big three, alt/battery if necessary.
...is that box made of birch plywood? If you've got screws that far apart without sealer in the joints, and on both pieces of wood that join, you're in for an air leak--let alone if it's not tacked. Start the build with MDF. Much more sound-friendly. Just my .02 cents. Don't have the time to be on here much anymore, but figured I'd try to throw that out there.
