w7 are awesome! and the Katskin seats look great!

If you can find a 12" that will fit under the seat then run it! Running a single 12 in a ported box under the back seat should still leave you room to mount your amps under there as well.

I have two 12s under my back seat and they hit real hard at 30, I dare not go to 50, dont have any other quality speakers that can handle that, but I imagine it would be fairly loud, though its a sealed box

I had a box similar to what was posted above with two kicker 12s in it, it sounded alright but was really too small. Two tens forward facing sounded better IMO. The 12s I didnt have a seat lift, the forward facing box I added a seat lift, but isnt neccessary with 10s. I lifted it because I wanted to do 12s forward facing eventually.

Back from the dead.....

I also have (2) 12's in a sealed box mounted under my back seat. Seat is Not raised and speakers fire down.

It sounds really good, but I am interested in replacing the setup with (1) 12" competition style sub (ported box/down firing). Obviously, the thought being one speaker should have adequate air space as long as it can physically fit and have room for movement.........

Surely someone has done this in an ext cab truck? I bet this setup would Pound!

Haha I went ahead and bought a custom fit premade box for 12 10s using kicker cvr it was okkay at first now they just are quite. I have decided to lift the seat 2" to have them build a box for 1 15" treo. From searching online got alot of info and pictures of how I want it done. With the lift and custom made box you can get a good 3 cu ft for airspace.
