There are alot of guys with these boxes on the forum. Curious if anyone on here has one of these box setups sketched up or drawn in cad. anyone got dimensions of these style boxes? 10 or 12's doesn't matter to me. i just want the general outside dimensions.

 

i did a shotty custom measure for a down fire box, from my research you are only going to be able to go up to a 10". but i have not successfully put the sub in yet, been to hot.

 

i have seen places making them for 12's with no lifting seat.

but, since i have won a box off ebay for 2 10's. if nothing else i will use it for a pattern then resell it.

You'll have no problem fitting 12's under the rear seat and not having it stick out.

There are people making boxes with 7-8" of mounting depth and not having to lift the rear seat.

Mine has 7 1/4 mounting depth and I'm running 12's but I don't have dimensions sorry.

 

i think i bought a sub that is a little too deep, what did yall do for raising the seat? upbolt and put washes? nuts?

 

you can make brakets that lift the seat up or use washers to gain about 3/4 of an inch. Either way is going to compromise safety of people in the back seat though. The seat belts aren't connected to the seat which would help a lot in a crash but the seat is much more likely to break in a high speed accident

 

I built one that fit the rear seat perfectly and vinyl wrapped it to match the seat. It looked like it was part of the seat itself. I gave it to 4.8T, maybe he has some pics of it. It was downfiring with 2 12" JL audios. I think he may still have the box and can measure it.

 

Too bad the NNBS have a lot less space under the rear seats.

 

my box i made actually fits nicely! i thought i was going to have to move the seat, but i didnt have to, i should have it all finished up this weekend.
