Double Din in a 99'

Default Double Din in a 99'

Anyone cut away to install a DD in a 99' Put a system in and used a Kenwood I had but have an awesome Alpine DD, but looking for some pics....anyone?

I put a Pioneer nex6000 something in a 2000 silverado. I found a black double din trim piece (metra I think) and it worked great. Just a quick google search and I found this.

I have a DD Pioneer AVIC-8000 in my 02. Tight fit but Looks great. No issues. I'll post pics as soon as I can get photobucket to cooperate. Ugh.

Not the best picture, but i wasnt focusing on radio install at the time so much as the led conversion in the ac head...

I had my dash completely apart so i swapped in an 03-07 dd bucket and dash trim, but metra makes a kit that includes a new dash trim for the conversion(which of course i didnt see until about a month after i did mine)

I have since swapped to a pioneer and cant remember the model number

I usually do it from my phone, LOL.....Well after you fine gentlemen have open the two holes in my head I will be ordering some stuff today!!!!!Thanks brotha's

Is doing a double Din in an 03 up possible without that new dash piece?? About to go that route

I think that's the year it change to be able to do a double with out cutting or replacing cage...

03 started double din from factory, its a direct replacement...
