I've just got done installing a stereo setup for my buddie in his 2000 ecsb. Its a nice little system consisting of 2 downfiring jl audio 10s, two 6.5" alpine 2 ways in the doors, 2 alpine 4x6 two ways in the back, a nice Alpine V12 4 ch., and a Fosgate Punch amp for the subs. He has a basic Pioneer head unit. I've got everything dialed in and sounding clean, so now I'm moving on to the tv/ps2 install. I'm using the stock front part of the console to install the the 7" tv. He didn't want to buy another head unit, so we decided on an fm modulator to run his ps2 through the speakers(he didn't mind sacrificing the sound quality at this time).
Anyway, his console was torn to pieces before it arrived to me(in 3 or 4 different pieces to be exact). I got the console back together and made the necessary cuts to mount the tv. Here is my question. I've got a few gaps about an inch or so wide on both sides, as well as at the bottom. What would be the best filler for this? I've almost made up my mind on laying in some fiberglass and sanding it all smooth, but am not certain how well it will bond to the plastic. Will it bond good, or is there a type of liquid plastic filler that I haven't heard about yet? Thanks.
