Default Blower Motor Control Module Vendor? (Three Pin)

My module/resistor is bad, looking around it seems the few vendors reviews I found for the one I have that looks to be a solid state piece are not so good.

GMParts direct even using my Vin shows the 7 pin resistor.

Who do you guys trust for this part?

Mine melted the connector, went to Auto Zone for the lifetime warranty part and a pigtail. Just had that one fail a few months back. I got a new one and a new pigtail under warranty.

The Ac Delco part only had a 1 year warranty. Some parts store's had a 2 or 3 year warranty. I found Auto zone had a Duralast one with a lifetime warranty. Now I am glad I did since it only lasted a few years. I don't use my AC much either.

You've got 5 pins on that one, you include the power/ground for the blower motor along with the three for the power/signal/ground for the controls. The replacement module will group all of them in a row and include a pigtail to convert to that design. For what it's worth, I had the exact same module you pictured, in my '06 SS with the digital controls. The BWD part # I ordered was RU1321 from Advance Auto parts, lifetime warranty.

What that man said ^^^ based on his advice I went for the lifetime warranty part. It included the pigtail which not only do you need since the connector design changes, you may need it at one point or another in case it burns up. Your warranty replacement will include it...

I blame Richard... He was asking me about his failure when mine failed the second time. I got about 5 years out of that replacement part before it failed. The connector was melted to the part both times so I had no choice but to replace it. Because the connector failed on the warranty part I explained to them that I needed a new pigtail. When he realized it was melted and not coming out he gave me a new one since I had purchased one the last time.

I highly recommend buying one through a local Auto Parts Store with a Lifetime Warranty For the exact reason above. Hang on to the receipt or make sure the warranty is registered to you before leaving the store.
