Default Any alarm gurus here? Viper 5704

My 02 Chevrolet is having problems. I had the alarm installed and every few months I have a problem. The security light will flash and when I try to start the truck it will crank and start for half a second then the engine shuts off. After it shuts off the security light flashes.

I have started it by disabling the alarm completely and one time it randomly started after I left it for a little while.

Any help? The store I bought it from is all but helpful.

Sorry so late but the Passlock Module is Failing . That's what's causing light to turn on . Basically the Passlock isn't being bypassed by alarm output

This is it exactly. replace passlock module and reprogram your immobilizer bypass for remote start, or bypass the passlock module all together, but that could get tricky

Are you guys still with me?

So, my alarm bypasses the pass lock?

How could bypassing my alarm make it work if the passlock is faulting?

I was saying bypass your passlock. Unfortunately that means any key that will turn the ignition cylinder will start the truck. But a properly installed alarm should still let you sleep at night.

Okay I see. Thanks for replying. So I need to replace the passlock and bring it to the shop that installed the alarm to reprogram the immobilizer bypass?
