does anyone know if its possible to put 2 single din units into a double din spot and how hard is it to do

Why?

I'm sure it's possible with some custom work, but I'd be afraid they would overheat up against eachother like that.

I'm kinda with him on this one. why not just buy a double din?? All of the wiring would have to be ran into one harness on this.. Curious?? To be different??

no i want the sound quality of a pioneer DEH-P800PRS and have a flip out screen when i want to use it the one i was thinking is AVH-P5100DVD if i could put them together could this work

its very easy to do and metra even makes a dash kit to do it. it is part number 99-2003.

heat.... maybe, but with one running and the other not then no. if both are running at the same time then maaaybe. cut a slit into the center air vent and just direct a little air to them to move the hot air away from it and should b fine

You shouldnt have any problems with heat. This type of setup is run by many people in the SQ compititions that are daily drivers with no problems.
