I figured I would update my thread here with some information. About a month ago, when I was doing some street tuning with my truck, on a violent 2-1 downshift, it ripped my water pump pulley right off. Since then, we replaced the water pump, and tack welded the pulley to the shaft in 3 places and it was all good until this past Sunday night. I was out playing around on the highways with some friends and on my way home, it ripped the tack welded water pump pulley off as well. We are going to now replace the water pump again, and this time weld it around the shaft and pulley entirely.

That happened with mine once but I reused the pump by pressing the pulley back on. I spot welded it in 4 spots so knock on wood!

If I had the pulley to put it back on I would, but I couldn't find it. Here is a pic of the new water pump with the pulley welded on all the way around, and we drilled a hole in the side and welded it there as well. I don't think it can come off now lol.

I know it would be a PITA to do but why not pin it? Cut the pin a little shorter than the OD and weld it in.

I guess what you did serves the same purpose and was easier.

Awesome build that you have here. I got a couple questions...
How does your front bumper ground clearance after dropped? And how does your stock exhaust sounds with headers/ypipe no cats?

Thanks

The lowest part of the front bumper is 9 1/4 inches off the ground.

As far as the exhaust sound, its pretty quiet. At WOT I can't even hear it at all because the blower noise is so loud.
