2012 Sierra RCSB 5.3 build thread @ New Era Performance

It might be a little while. Since we had to bring it into the shop to fix the water pump, I decided that I wanted to redo the fuel system a bit, and remake the surge tank so it is a little less bulky and use an external pump to somewhat simplify it, and it will also make it cheaper for us to reproduce.
We also had another vendor that has been following the truck step up and offer to send us a bunch of their new internal transmission components for us to test, so we are going to get that going while it is in the shop as well. I will post a bunch of pics when we do this also.
if I am lucky, might be able to make it to the track in the next 2-3 weeks.

The way we are redoing the fuel system is going to be much more affordable, and easier to install, and duplicate for resale. I will post pics when it is finished.

No. We just hooked the fuel feed line to the stock (Whipple) fuel rail and pulled power to the Aeromotive fuel pump and capped the surge tank to turn off the check engine light and pass inspection.

with that much torque on the water pump pulley, do you expect any adverse effects to the bearing after welding it? it seems like maybe the pulley coming off was the fusible link in the equation.
what about an electric water pump? have you seen any problems running them on the street? what about belt routing? obviously the cost is a downside, but if it keeps the truck on the road....
i love the truck btw. ive always been a big whipple fan and you guys are certainly making the most of it.
