I have already been down the road of massive cam and stall and it annoys me so I went smaller. 237/242 cam and a 4K stall isnt fun to drive around town, gas mileage isnt a concern since it isnt a DD but I do require a bit of utility out of my truck. Since I have to replace the front seal on my trans I may stick bigger stall in it, we will see.
Do you think that big shot of gas with that intake is going to get it down into the 10s from where it is at the moment?

Probably not, I dont think I have the suspension to do it. Im not willing to lower it, etc to get it all to hook good enough. Ill be happy with a low 11 second pass. I know with the 80e it pulls like a **** up top, the only thing that may save me is the shitty first gear of the 80e and a large shot of nitrous out of the hole. I have a set of 28s to run at the track but I doubt they will hook good enough on a large shot. Allen told me with the rest of my mods and the motor breaking-in I have another 100hp left on the table plus the nitrous. Right now it hangs with my buddy James's truck which traps 105s in the heat of summer, he takes me pretty good out of the hole. So I figure if I throw a decent stall in, get the rest f my **** on, in good weather it ought to be good for mid/low 12 N/A then with a 250 shot should get me a low 11. Im happy with the way it drives right now so Im just going to drive it, whatever it runs is whatever it runs.

I couldn't say it any better myself. As long as my little motor holds up to the abuse, I'm going to leave those stock internals in there. Maybe someday I'll get the motivation to get into it, but right now, I'm just throwing alittle small change at it trying to make it hook up alittle better out of the hole. If it goes tomorrow, this motor has been a good one for me. I'm liking the larger cam though. Funny thing is it just seems more streetable than my 224....Maybe its just been that long since it was last running.

Keep me updated on the big cubes truck

I should run a 12.5 or better N/A........I'm going in about a month or so. After that I should have the fastest N/A 5.3 stock bottom end SCSB Z71(4x4). I think I have it now..........
