Hey jones... i finally put my stock torque converter back in my truck... the other one was just junk..

Hope you get this stuff figured out!!!

I should of taken some pictures for you today. After reading this thread I had to read the directions from transgo. I now can see why you have had problems. I have been plugging valve bodies for a while. I would never use the methods that transgo gave you for the large plug that has blown out on you. I use a round and a flat file to chanfer the seperator plate for this plug. Then I place the plate on nice flat solid steel surface. And then tap the plug with a hammer to expand the plug. I have never had this problem using this method with this kit. I do like the oem plate over the transgo plate because it is thinner and the plugs do not expand as well using the transgo plate. I do have plates in stock for you if you need one. Also the damage to the seperator plate in the check ball area is common on units using steel check *****. We use torlon check ***** and they do save transmissions from failures. Vince
