I sold a set of Comp Pro Magnum roller rockers on ebay for 250 bucks they are over 500 brand new, they had about 3K on them. Heres the deal he recieved them and is saying I didnt include the locks that lock the rockers down on teh studs and I know for sure I did cause I counted to make sure there was 16 of everything before I boxed it up and shipped it. Next he is saying 3 of the rockers have bad bearings when they worked when they came off my truck about 6 months ago and have been sitting in a small cardboard box the rest of the time. Since he is saying that I didnt include the locks when I am ABSOLUTELY positive I did makes me think he is trying to screw me, but at the same time I dont want this to screw up my ebay rep. I told him to somehow prove to me the needle bearings are bad and if they are then I would buy 3 needle bearing sets from Comp for him, but Im not even sure I should do that, not to mention the whole lock thing. If he gives me bad feedback is there anything I can do to get it erased through Ebay if indeed he is trying to screw me? What would you do given the circumstances. Depending upon how he responds will dictate what I do. If he wants to be an *** Ill blow him off. I WONT buy locks for him since I know those were in there. Like I said before the manin thing that makes me think he is tryingto screw me is him saying that I didnt ship him locks. One of the locks was of a different size since I lost one and had ot buy another the lock will still work fine but Im thinking maybe he istrying to get me to buy a new set for him so he doesnt have to buy another one to make it a complete matching set.

what an odd product to try and screw ya on. I am not that familiar with ebay battles, but if he bad reports ya, you can reply to the bad rap. So if I saw his bad post, under it would be your reply.
I would search his area for machine shop and call them, give them the heads up and ask him to go there with the "bad" rockers. let them tell you. even if you paid them a small fee. better than paying him with new rockers.
definitely ask for pictures.

Do you have the pic's of the set you sold him from when you listed them on ebay. I would deal with him but only to a certain extant, if he is an *** blow him off. If you have all good feed back and 1 neg I personally would worry about it. What is his feedback score like.. also you can respond to his feedback coment with your own.

offer to buy them back. that or tell him they were sold as is and thats the chance you take when you buy used things. they worked for you but if he wanted all new parts from you he should have bought them new.

What puzzles me is he sent me this message via Ebay:
Received rockers today. Fast shipping!
The locks were not enclosed.
Three of the rockers have a bad bearing.
Thank you
John
Seems to me like if I didnt get what I paid for I wouldnt be complementing someone I would be getting to the point of the matter. IDK.

pretty clean
Here is a link to the item:

at the part on the bottom in the payment instructions I said I gurantee them to work
They were in working order and he hasnt responded to my email. My contact info on ebay still lists my parents phone number he called them last night wanting to talk to me about the rockers. I sent him an email with my number and told him that he was lying about the locks not being in there since I KNOW I put them in there and that hte rockers were pulled off the truck in working order and have sat in a cardboard box with oil on them for 6 months so I dont see how a needle bearing went bad in them. Worst case scenario if he does show some pics of them being bad Ill let him deal with getting new needle bearings and Ill pay for them. I wont buy him any locks. It all depends on how he responds back. If he is indeed a dick then he will not be getting any help from me.

I'd work with him as best as I could but from my previous experiences those needle bearings can feel rough due to having some trash in them. I had luck out of blowing them clean with lots of carb cleaner and re-oiling them. I wouldn't offer anything free unless you are sure they need to be replaced. If you offer something free they will take it no matter what.

i would just leave it alone. dont send him a mail back. the thank you seems kinda polite like he's happy...if he makes an issue out of it then work on fixing it(buy them back and resell)
