My 3 hour stay in Dallas
#1
This little **** cost me 3 hours sitting in south Dallas!!!

I drove 8 hours from Springfield, Missouri to Dallas and had this happen. I first noticed my battery light blinking. I looked at the amp guage and it was down and noticed my temp guage was way up. I pull off of 45 and notice no power steering. I open the hood expecting the belt to be gone. I found the belt wrapped around the fan pulley and found a plastic pulley laying in my engine compartment. That's when I realized it was my belt tensioner pulley off of my water pump. I sat there nearly 2 hours before a wrecker came and towed me to a Pep Boys. He kept saying this is an area you don't want to be in at night. GREAT!!! I barely made it there before 6pm and got the parts. I had to completely take my AEM CAI off to get the new belt on. Around 7pm I was back on the road w/ no problems. I didn't get home until 12:30 AM and didn't wake up until 9:30 AM.
Overslept and missed work, there goes another $150!!!

My brother-in-law told me it was an omen, that I should have bought that SS I saw. I found an '05 SS w/ 18k miles, Red, AWD, for $26k in Missouri. But, screw it, I've put over 155k miles on the '02 and this is the first problem I ever had.

I don't see anything wrong with it?
put the pulley back on with a bigger washer and quit crying

that sucks dude, luckily there wasn't a fire from it. My dad had one of the pulleys on his '90 GMC lock up and he had to put out the small fire it caused with a bottle of sprite
