I see a number of you clamping your leaf springs together in order to try and improve traction. Stop it. You all spend thousands on engine mods and suspension mods, and then rely on a $10 fix to try and get all that new power to the ground?

Here is a solution that is widely used in the offroad world that will work on street trucks if done right.

Notice the shackle? As the suspension cycles, the shackle moves back and forth resulting in bind free operation. This cost less then $100 to build and besides a linked suspension, it will be the best solution to get the power to the ground. This particular bar is made of sched. 40 pipe, 1/4" plate, and tractor heims from a john deere dealership. You can also use poly bushings as well.

When I installed this on my truck, it was an instant improvement. This bar did not allow the axle rotate up when I put my foot in it, which resulted in instant power-to-the-ground operation. To top that off, I had low gears and 4" lift blocks.
